This project explores the integration of natural moss within clay-based, non-structural interior design elements through robotic additive manufacturing. Employing a KUKA 6-axis robotic arm and continuous extrusion techniques, the process required custom toolpath development to accommodate the unique behavior of clay. The column-like design introduces an organic presence to interior spaces, with moss thriving on the porous ceramic surface. Beyond its aesthetic qualities, the project emphasizes ecological benefits, such as water filtration, soil enrichment, and fostering microhabitats, merging sustainable design with advanced fabrication techniques.
